To elevate its hybrid story to customers, partners and investors, Microsoft partnered with Manhattan Strategies to develop a master narrative that conveys the company’s commanding vision on the future of work driven, in part, by artificial intelligence.

Opportunity

As hybrid work began to take off just prior to the pandemic, Microsoft recognized the potential impact of this foundational change to the workplace. To get ahead of the curve on defining the future of work, Microsoft sought out to talk about products, services and employees in a way that struck a chord with customers directly. As the work experience started to evolve rapidly, how could their business remain a leader in the conversation around powering devices across the globe?

Solution

Microsoft needed a new way to communicate that matched the new way people were starting to work. Visual narratives were the driving force here. To bring this conversation to life, executive keynote decks were developed for both internal audiences within the company and external messaging initiatives.

Manhattan Strategies, in collaboration with Microsoft, started at the strategy level to develop halo messages that ultimately found their way into scripts and talk tracks for executives' keynote presentations. Keynote decks were developed for both internal audiences at Microsoft and external messaging campaigns.

“Future of Work” was a new term, so we wanted to add perspective to the way people work. As a result, imagery for these keynote presentations showed where business were, contrasted to where they are going - adding critical context to the narrative.
